Expert AC Repair, Installation and Servicing
Frost Genius looks after split, window, cassette and ducted air conditioners from the first installation to the tenth summer. We find the actual fault, explain it in plain words, give you a written price and fix it with the right parts. No guesswork, no surprise charges, no half-finished jobs.

Your technician calls ahead, arrives with the parts most likely needed, and walks you through findings before any work begins.
What we do
Every job, from a single gas top-up to a full office fit-out, follows the same routine: diagnose properly, quote in writing, work cleanly and test until the room holds temperature.
01
Not cooling, leaking water, tripping the breaker or making a new noise? We trace the fault with gauges, meters and a proper inspection, then repair compressors, capacitors, fan motors, PCBs, sensors and refrigerant leaks.
02
New units and relocations installed to the manufacturer’s specification: correct capacity for the room, level brackets, sealed wall penetrations, vacuumed pipework and a commissioning test you can watch.
03
Seasonal servicing that goes beyond a filter rinse — coil and blower cleaning, drain flushing, electrical checks and pressure readings that keep your system efficient and hygienic.
04
Planned maintenance and fast fault response for offices, shops, clinics, restaurants and server rooms, with service records your facilities team can actually use.
Our standard
We measure pressures, currents and temperatures first. The price you approve is based on what we found, not on what we hope to sell.
Capacitors, motors, sensors and boards matched to your model and rating. If a part has to be ordered, we tell you how long it will take.
Before we pack up, we record supply-air temperature, check the drain and run the unit through a full cycle with you.
How a visit works
You always know who is coming, what they found and what it will cost. Nothing is replaced without your approval.
Call or send a message describing what the unit is doing, the brand and roughly how old it is. We book a slot and confirm the visit.
The technician inspects both indoor and outdoor units, takes readings and shows you the cause of the problem.
You receive a clear price for parts and labour. Approve it and we start; decline it and you only pay the inspection fee.
We complete the work, clean up, run a full cooling cycle and explain how to keep the unit healthy.
What is your AC doing?
Many faults show early warning signs. Catching them quickly often means a smaller repair and a lower bill.
The most common causes are a low refrigerant charge from a slow leak, a failed outdoor fan motor, a weak run capacitor or a heavily clogged condenser coil. Topping up gas without finding the leak only delays the problem, so we pressure-test before recharging.
Usually a blocked drain line, a dirty evaporator coil, a cracked drain tray or an indoor unit mounted out of level. We clear and flush the drain, check the slope and clean the coil so the water has a proper path out.
This points to an electrical fault: a shorted compressor, a failed capacitor, damaged wiring or an undersized circuit. We test insulation and current draw before replacing anything, because the wrong fix can damage the compressor.
Rattling often means loose panels or mounting bolts; grinding or squealing suggests worn fan bearings; a heavy hum can mean a struggling compressor. Early attention prevents a small noise from becoming a large repair.
A musty smell is almost always mould and bacteria on the coil, blower wheel or drain tray. A deep chemical clean removes the build-up and improves air quality, not just the smell.
Error codes are the unit telling you which sensor or circuit has a problem. Note the code before you call — it helps us bring the right parts on the first visit.
Describe it on the phone. Our team will tell you whether it can wait, whether to switch the unit off, and what a visit is likely to involve.
Who we work for
Bedrooms that cool before bedtime, living rooms that stay comfortable through the afternoon, and bills that do not jump every summer.
Downtime costs money. We plan maintenance around your opening hours and keep a record of every unit we look after.
Why Frost Genius
Good air conditioning work is mostly invisible: a tidy pipe run, a correct charge, a drain that never blocks. These are the habits we hold every technician to.
You see the cost of parts and labour before we start. If something changes during the job, we stop and ask first.
Manifold gauges, clamp meters and thermometers confirm every diagnosis and every repair.
Our team is trained on inverter and non-inverter systems from the major brands, and on safe refrigerant handling.
Drop sheets go down before covers come off. We take away old parts, packaging and the mess.
Replacement components are matched to your unit’s model and rating, not the cheapest part that fits.
Every visit ends with a short summary of what was found, what was done and what to watch for next.
Questions
If your question is not here, our booking team is happy to help on the phone or by email.
For homes, a full service once or twice a year is ideal — before the hot season and after heavy use. Units in kitchens, shops or dusty areas usually need servicing every three to four months.
Yes. We repair and service inverter and non-inverter split units, window units, cassette, ceiling-suspended and ducted systems from the major manufacturers.
Always. After diagnosis you receive a written quote. Nothing is replaced and no gas is added without your approval.
Most repairs are completed in a single visit of one to three hours. If a part must be ordered, we explain the expected lead time and book the return visit with you.
Yes. Our workmanship is guaranteed, and replacement parts carry the supplier’s warranty. The exact cover for your job is written on your invoice.
