AC Repair
Weak cooling, water leaks, strange noises, tripping breakers and error codes — we diagnose with proper instruments, quote in writing and repair with parts matched to your unit.
Why repairs fail
An air conditioner that stops cooling is often “fixed” by adding refrigerant and leaving. A few weeks later the gas has leaked out again, the compressor has been running hot and a simple repair has become an expensive one.
Our technicians work the other way round. We measure suction and discharge pressures, check the current drawn by the compressor and fans, test capacitors and sensors and look for oil marks that reveal leaks. Only then do we tell you what is wrong and what it will cost to put right.
If the repair is not worth doing — for example on an old unit with a failing compressor — we will say so and give you a fair comparison with a replacement.
Faults we fix
Typical causes: low refrigerant from a leak, failed outdoor fan, weak capacitor, blocked condenser coil, faulty expansion device or a compressor that is no longer pumping.
Our repair: we confirm pressures and temperatures, pressure-test with nitrogen to locate any leak, repair the joint or coil, vacuum the system and recharge to the correct weight for your model.
Typical causes: blocked drain line, dirty evaporator coil, cracked or misaligned drain tray, poor pipe insulation or an indoor unit that is not level.
Our repair: clear and flush the drain, clean the coil, re-level the unit if needed and replace damaged insulation so condensation no longer drips onto walls or floors.
Typical causes: shorted compressor winding, failed run capacitor, burnt contactor, loose terminals, damaged cable or a circuit breaker that is too small for the unit.
Our repair: insulation and continuity testing, replacement of failed electrical parts and advice on the supply if the circuit itself is the problem.
Typical causes: loose panels or bracket bolts, worn fan motor bearings, a damaged blower wheel or a compressor sitting on perished mounts.
Our repair: tighten and re-secure, replace worn motors, wheels and anti-vibration mounts, and check that pipework is not touching the wall or casing.
Typical causes: failed temperature sensors, communication faults between indoor and outdoor boards, damaged PCBs after power surges, or inverter module failures.
Our repair: read the code against the manufacturer’s service data, test sensors and wiring, and repair or replace the affected board.
Typical causes: mould and bacteria on the coil and blower, stagnant water in the drain tray, or a dead pest inside the unit.
Our repair: dismantle, deep chemical clean and sanitise the indoor unit, then flush the drain so water clears properly.
The repair visit
A typical repair visit takes one to three hours. You are welcome to watch, ask questions and see the readings for yourself.
We start with your description of the problem, then check the remote settings, power supply and visible condition of both units.
Gauges go on the service valves, a clamp meter on the supply and a thermometer in the airflow. These numbers show what is actually happening inside the system.
We show you the fault, explain the options in plain words and give a written price. You decide whether to go ahead.
Parts are fitted to manufacturer specification. Joints are brazed under nitrogen, systems are vacuumed before charging and wiring is secured and labelled.
We run the unit through a full cycle, record supply-air temperature and current draw, check the drain and leave the area clean.

Repair questions
Yes, a visit and inspection fee applies. If you go ahead with the repair, the inspection is included in the quoted price.
Yes. Inverter systems need careful diagnosis because the PCB, compressor and sensors work together. We test each part before replacing anything.
If the outdoor unit is running but the air is warm, switch it off and call us. Running a compressor with low refrigerant can overheat and damage it.
We explain the expected lead time, make the unit safe in the meantime and book a return visit as soon as the part arrives.
Yes. Our workmanship is guaranteed and parts carry the supplier’s warranty. The cover for your repair is written on your invoice.
Switch it off if it is leaking or tripping, note any error code, and get in touch. We will book the earliest slot that suits you.
